Kukujumuku Lightweight Sweater
Kukujumuku Lightweight Sweater
Made from a Plaited Interlock Fabric, this lightweight sweatshirt is breathable and super soft to the touch. It has a regular men's fit that can be customized, sold, and worn to suit many different fashion styles. A classic, round collar gives it a sleek and put-together look. The waist and cuffs of this sweater are reinforced to stay durable for years to come.
Kukujumuku is used both in Krio and Kolokwa and often paired with the phrase, "If you na insa, you na know" for Kolokwa and "Wi we de ya, na wi no", for Krio. It is used to express that you cannot understand a thing till you experience or are privy to it. These two creoles are spoken in two different countries, Sierra Leone and Liberia, but most likely share kukujumuku from the Mende language. It may be onomatopaeia for something you can perceive but aren't privy to. Kukujumuku could mean "inner secrets" and can be used in a few different contexts.
